A 78-year-old Beulah woman was injured Sunday night after a head-on collision near the Bismarck Expressway Bridge.
According to a North Dakota Highway Patrol report, Lorine Buechler was traveling east across the bridge in one of the westbound lanes. Just after crossing the bridge, Buechler's 2001 Buick struck a pickup driven by Steve Rogalla, 47, who was traveling west in a westbound lane. The accident occurred at about 7:45 p.m., just east of the bridge.
After the collision, the vehicles blocked the westbound lanes of traffic, which were closed for about 90 minutes. Buechler was transported to Medcenter One by ambulance. The injuries she suffered were not disclosed Sunday night.
According to the report, Rogalla declined medical assistance. His address was not listed on the report. Both Rogalla and Buechler were wearing safety belts.
The Highway Patrol said the crash is still under investigation.
