A man who worked as a library clerk in Bismarck has been slated to stand trial in November on a charge of traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.

David Boschee, 38, was charged with the offense in South Dakota federal court in January. He has pleaded not guilty to that charge and to a charge of using the Internet to entice a child to engage in unlawful sexual activity. He is slated to stand trial on Nov. 6, U.S. Attorney Marty Jackley said.

Boschee was charged for allegedly traveling to South Dakota on Sept. 29, 2006, for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a 15-year-old girl. Court documents said Boschee met the Sioux Falls, S.D., girl over the Internet. Both of them had Myspace.com profiles, documents said.

Boschee and the girl planned to meet for sex in Sioux Falls, but the girl changed her mind a week before Boschee arrived, documents said. However, he allegedly went to Sioux Falls anyway and paid for a motel room there with a credit card.

The girl told police she had sex with him at the motel, documents said.

Boschee was a part-time clerk at the Bismarck Public Library and lived in Bismarck. He was arrested at the library on Jan. 29 by Bismarck police officers, who were asked to assist in locating Boschee by the FBI out of Sioux Falls and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
