A Bismarck man has entered a not guilty plea to assault charges related to a fight at a Bismarck bar on Feb. 10.

On Feb. 12, Sidney Carry Moccasin, 23, was charged with aggravated assault, a Class C felony, and simple assault, a Class B misdemeanor, for allegedly knocking a man unconscious and punching another in a fight at Borrowed Bucks Roadhouse, 118 S. Third St.

Bismarck police said Carry Moccasin had punched and kicked a 22-year-old Mandan man, causing him to lose consciousness, and punched a 22-year-old Bismarck man who was trying to help the Mandan man.

Carry Moccasin is scheduled to appear in court again on July 9 before Judge Donald Jorgenson for a pretrial conference.

According to court documents, 19 possible witnesses could be called by the prosecution.

Bismarck attorney Kent Morrow, who represented Carry Moccasin at his initial court appearance, said Carry Moccasin served with the Marines in Iraq and has no prior criminal history.
