AMinot man has been acquitted of gross sexual imposition.
Ronald Black, 29, was found not guilty of the Class AA felony by a 12-member jury on Friday after a three-day trial.
Black was accused in July 2006 of having sex with a 21-year-old Bismarck woman with whom he was acquainted against her will.
Burleigh County Assistant State'sAttorney Lloyd Suhr said jurors deliberated from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday before delivering the not guilty verdict.
Black's trial began Wednesday. It was the third time a trial into the matter had been held. The first trial ended in a hung jury, and the second was declared a mistrial when a juror admitted to seeing information about the trial on a television news report.
"I'm disappointed in the result," Suhr said.
Suhr, who prosecuted the case through its three trials, said he had not spoken to jurors about the verdict.
Black's appointed defense attorney, Wayne Goter, did not return two messages seeking comment.
South Central District Judge Sonna Anderson, who presided over the three trials, ordered that Black's bond be returned to him, according to court documents. He had been released on a $10,000 surety bond in April.
