Someone in Kirkwood Mall made a 911 call on a pay phone Friday evening and reported there were several bombs in Kirkwood Mall, according to a Bismarck Police report.
Police responded and the mall's management made the decision not to close the mall because the threat was vague. But businesses were told about the threats and several decided to close for the evening. Mall security and businesses' personnel searched the area, but nothing was found.
The call was made at 6:03 p.m. Friday just inside Door 3 on the mall's east side. The initial police report doesn't indicate if the caller was male or female, and a suspect hasn't been located.
