Dodge - The State Board of Public Education will hold a public hearing at 1 p.m. April 16 at the Comfort Inn in Bismarck on whether to approve the Dunn County School Reorganization Committee's dissolution plan for dissolving the Dodge Public School district.

Elgin - The city of Elgin's tax equalization meeting will be held at 7 p.m. April 10 at the Elgin City council room. New Leipzig will hold its tax equalization meeting at 7:30 p.m. April 10 at the New Leipzig City Hall.

Mott - The Hettinger County Commission will hold a public meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Hettinger County Courthouse in Mott to decide whether to open a historical cornerstone box on April 19, the occasion of the county's 100th anniversary, and assemble a new history box, or wait until a future anniversary. A list of the box's contents is available at the courthouse.

Steele - Leadership training through the Horizons Program will be held starting with lunch at 12:30 p.m. April 15 at the Steele Community Building. Napoleon - A hot dog lunch, with chips and floats, will be served Saturday at the Downtowner restaurant in Napoleon, following an Easter egg hunt that will start at 11 a.m. at the Golden Age Hall. The Easter event is open to kids up to age 9. Proceeds from the lunch will go toward the Napoleon Relay for Life.

Max - Max residents will vote April 24 in a special election to decide whether to recall Mayor Jodi Gullickson. Voters can choose to vote for her, or for one of two challengers, Marian Schmaltz or LaeRae Hackett. The city hall will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for voting.
Underwood - The public is invited to a strategic planning meeting to help develop a future direction for Underwood at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Underwood City Hall. Kathleen Tweeten, of North Dakota State University, will facilitate the discussion.

Beulah - An Easter cantata with 90 performers from Mercer County will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Beulah, including a reenactment of the Last Supper. For free reservations, call 873-4177.

Glen Ullin - The 19th annual Morton County Band Festival will be held at 7 tonight at the Glen Ullin school. Concert bands from Flasher, Glen Ullin, Hebron and New Salem will perform together and separately. The festival is free and open to the public.

Oliver County - Kids up to sixth grade are invited to participate in an Easter egg hunt at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the yard of the Oliver County Courthouse in Center. Participants will get goodie bags and snacks. The event is sponsored and hosted by the Center Community Club and the Oliver County Ambulance.

McClusky - A Sheridan County Spring Fling Extravaganza will be held April 17 at the McClusky Community Center. There will be afternoon and evening sessions on gardening, landscaping, water quality and a featured presentation called "Who Gets Grandma's Yellow Pie Plate?"
