Linton - The 15th annual Dakota Shootout boys basketball jamboree will be held Saturday, starting at 2:30 p.m. at the Linton High School and elementary school gyms. Four varsity and four junior varsity teams will participate. Admission is $5 for adults.

Beach - The 8th annual Basket Bash and Dance will be held starting at 6 p.m. at The Backyard in Beach. Elgin - The Elgin Betterment Association will hold its Holiday Fair Santa Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Elgin Community Center. There'll be a noon lunch, Santa visit, booths, and a pancake and sausage supper served by the Lions Club from 4 to 7 p.m.
