Sgt. Mark Buschena of the Bismarck Police Department said the man came home to the apartment at 600 S. Ninth St. and noticed that the door was open.
The door had been kicked in, and about $400 in cash and a bottle of loose change had been stolen between 1:45 a.m. and 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, Buschena said.
Anyone with information about the crime should call the Bismarck Police Department at 223-1212 or Bismarck Area Crime Stoppers at 224-TIPS (224-8477).
