An online resource of medical services in North Dakota will be unveiled at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the Executive Room II of the Seven Seas Inn in Mandan.
The Go Local North Dakota Web site will provide a way for people to search for local medical resources, essential and up-to-date information on health care providers. The Web site will supplement the national health care resources databaseMedlinePlus.gov for North Dakota users.
Guest speakers are Lori Klein, the MedLine Plus Go Local coordinator with the National Library of Medicine, Bethesda, Md., and Ruth Holst, associate director of the Greater Midwest Region of the National Network/Libraries of Medicine at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Go Local North Dakota was developed by medical librarians at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The project is funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Library of Medicine.
The demonstration of Go Local North Dakota is in conjunction with the annual meeting of the North Dakota Library Association.
