A 5-year-old boy fell from the high dive at Hillside Park Tuesday afternoon.

Police on the scene said the boy was bleeding after the fall but was conscious.

The boy's father said his son's jaw was broken in several places.

Bismarck Police Lt. Dan Donlin said initial reports indicate that the boy was running across the diving board, tripped, tried to catch himself and fell to the ground.
