The North Dakota Policy Council will be hosting its inaugural NDPC Free-Market Forum Sept. 18 at the University of Mary in Bismarck. Former U.S. House Majority Leader Dick Armey, a North Dakota native, will be the special guest.
The event begins at 11 a.m. After a lunch, Armey will hold two forums, one session will be a refresher on how free markets work and which free market policies North Dakota should adopt, and the second session will be a forum about strategies legislators, community leaders and others can use to help advance free-market notions.
The event also will be used as the NDPC's biggest fundraiser.
Individuals will be able to attend the event by contributing $250 or more. Businesses also can sponsor individuals to attend.
To register for the event, visit www.policynd.org, e-mail Brett Narloch at brenarlo@;policynd.org, or call 223-8155.
