A10-year-old girl had no broken bones after getting pinned between a car and a mobile home on Wednesday.

Bismarck Police Lt. Randy Ziegler said the girl was the passenger in a vehicle that was idling outside a mobile home in the park at 1119 University Drive at 4:59 p.m. Wednesday. The driver was not in the vehicle at the time, and the girl reached over to turn on the windshield wipers, he said.

The 1995 Chevy passenger car apparently was in neutral, and the girl bumped the gear shift lever as she reached to turn on the wipers. The car shifted to reverse, and the car began rolling backward.

Ziegler said the girl jumped out of the vehicle and tried to physically stop the car, but her legs became pinned between car and the hitch of the mobile home across the street.

The girl was taken to the hospital, where she was treated and released, Ziegler said. He said she had no broken bones.
