Bismarck police are investigating a report of a possible sexual assault that allegedly took place Wednesday.

Sgt. Dwight Offerman said an 18-year-old woman reported she was walking in a residential neighborhood in the central part of the city about 3:30 p.m. Offerman said a male, whom the woman apparently knew, began walking with her and allegedly made unsolicited sexual contact with her.

The case is under investigation.
