Hettinger - The Hettinger Eagles Club will hold a lutefisk supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at the club in Hettinger. The meal will also include lefse, Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and dessert.

Medora - The annual wildlife dinner and raffle will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Medora Community Center. Raffle prizes are a 270 rifle and a double-barrel shotgun, plus other prizes. For information, call 623-4829.

Bowman - The public is invited to a Veterans Day program at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Bowman County High School gym. All local veterans will be specially seated and the program will both honor them and help educate students about the occasion.

New Hradec - The New Hradec Knights of Columbus will hold a whist and pinochle party at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Catholic Workman Hall in New Hradec. The night will include prizes and lunch. Proceeds will go toward the veterans memorial. Also, the Halliday Close Up scholarship group will hold a fundraiser breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Halliday Public School multipurpose room. There will also be a metal art and bake sale.

Linton - The annual Town and Country Banquet sponsored by the Linton Chamber of Commerce will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Linton. Supper will be followed by a presentation by Bob Lowman, cowboy poet. Cost is $10. Local business have tickets available for sale.

Carson - The annual meeting of the Grant County Fair Association will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at the fair building in Carson. An election of directors will be conducted.

HETTINGER

New England - Badlands Ministries will host pheasant hunters in rural New England Nov. 17 and Nov. 18 in the third annual Ringneck Roundup, with a $100 daily hunting fee going toward the camp programs. Anyone interested in participating should send $100 per gun per day fee to P.O. Box 305, Medora, N.D. 58645 by Saturday.

KIDDER

Kidder County - A countywide school reorganization vote will be held Tuesday on whether to form one school district from four. Polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the schools in Steele and Tuttle, the Pettibone Community Center, the Dawson City Hall and the Tappen fire hall. If the plan passes, a new board will be elected and the new district would go into operation in July.

Ashley - A public input meeting will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Dakota Family Restaurant in Ashley to discuss Proposed improvements to N.D. Highway 3 and N.D. Highway 11 (Main Street) from Fifth Avenue Northwest to Third Avenue Northeast in the city of Ashley. A formal presentation of the project will be at 5:30 p.m. The project consists of replacing the existing lighting, curb and gutter, sidewalks and driveways.

Watford City - The McKenzie County Health Care Systems will hold its annual meeting starting with an 11:30 a.m. lunch Tuesday at the Watford City Civic Center. A business meeting will open at noon for reports.

Washburn - A snowmobile education class will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the War Memorial Building in Washburn. Anyone 12 and older must have a safety certificate to operate a snowmobile on public land, unless they have a valid driver's license. To preregister, call 328-5357.

Hazen - The Hazen Public Library will hold an open house to honor veterans from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the library. The public, especially veterans, is invited to attend and view the volumes of information compiled about Mercer and Oliver county veterans in a special project. Any veterans who have anything to add to the information should bring it along for photocopying. Refreshments will be served throughout the day.

Hebron - A book fair "blizzard" will be held from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. daily Nov. 13-16 at the Hebron library, with a family event from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 16. Anyone who wears a hat, scarf or mittens to the fair will be eligible for a special drawing.

Center - The Oliver County Farmers Union invites the public to a meeting and presentation at 7 tonight at the Golden Age Club in Center. Art Mortvedt, of Alaska, will talk about his hunting and guiding experiences and an NDFU director will provide updates. A pie and ice cream social will follow the meeting.

Sheridan County - Patrons of the Goodrich and McClusky school districts will vote Tuesday on whether to consolidation into a single district. Voting will take place between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Goodrich City Hall and the McClusky City Hall.
