Linton - Linton businesses are holding a return of Crazy Daze July 28, with downtown sidewalk sales from local stores, home-based businesses and out-of-town businesses. New England - An informational town meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. July 26 at the Slope Electric Hospitality Room in New England to talk about the New England community grocery store project. Shares are available, and people who come to the meeting can get questions answered and give ideas for the store. Also, anyone interested in emergency medical technician training can have costs reimbursed if they volunteer with the New England ambulance service. Deadline to register for the training is Tuesday. Garrison - To add to the fun of the Governor's Cup, the Garrison Jaycees will sponsor a street dance starting at 8:30 p.m. Saturday on Garrison's Main Street, with music by Border Line. A $5 admission fee will provide proceeds for a thermal imager for the Garrison Fire and Rescue Department.

Stanton - A reunion of former Glenharold Mine employees will be held starting at noon July 29 at the Stanton City Park. The reunion will be a potluck picnic and attendees should bring beverages, chairs and utensils. Also, the Mercer County ambulance service golf tournament will start with 8:30 a.m. registration July 29 at the Hazen Golf Course. Proceeds will go toward new hydraulic gurneys for the ambulance.
