Two Bismarck men have been charged with multiple felonies for allegedly burglarizing area businesses.
Travis Mittleider, 23, and Donovan Patterson, 19, each have been charged in Burleigh County with three counts of burglary, three counts of theft of property, one count of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, one count of conspiracy to commit burglary, and one count of conspiracy to commit theft of property.
Mittleider and Patterson have been charged in Morton County with one count of burglary.
The two men are alleged to have burglarized three Bismarck businesses: Penny's Muffler and Exhaust, 1923 E. Sweet Ave., between Feb. 19 and 20; Bismarck Auto and Dent Repair, 3332 Franklin Ave., between Feb. 22 and 23; and T&M Electric, 1303 Frontier Drive, between Feb. 23 and Feb. 26, said Bismarck Police Lt. Dan Donlin.
Mittleider and Patterson also are alleged to have burglarized John's Machine, 1705 43rd Ave. S.E. Feb. 25, said Mandan Police Detective Jon Vanderhoef.
All of the charges the men face are Class C felonies, which are punishable by up to five years in prison and $5,000 for each charge.
South Central District Judge Tom Schneider set bond for Mittleider at $3,000 cash or surety Thursday.
Donlin said Patterson is in custody at the Morton County Correctional Center.
Vanderhoef said a computer monitor, some "unique coins," several tools and about $55 in cash were stolen from John's Machine Shop. An office window and a door were damaged in the burglary, Vanderhoef said.
He said four other burglaries that occurred at Mandan businesses the night of Feb. 25 are still under investigation.
