Medora - A public workshop to gain input on the alternatives for a crossing on the Little Missouri River north of Medora will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 17 at the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Medora. BOWMAN

Bowman - The Bowman County Fair will be held Thursday through Sunday at the Bowman County Fairgrounds in Bowman. A rodeo will be held at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Johnny Holm will perform Saturday night and the Bowdle Boys at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. A fair parade will be held at noon Sunday.

Linton - Emmons County Farmers Union will hold a "Project Citizenship" day camp from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 18 at the Seeman Park shelter. All children are invited for fun, games and learning. Lunch will be provided. Sign up by July 15 by calling 336-7189.

Lake Tschida - Grant County will hold its annual "Bug Day" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday on the south side of Lake Tschida starting at the Boy Scout area. Bring ice and a bug net, or buy a bug net there. For information, call Merlin Leithold, county weed officer, at 584-3204, or 220-7908.

Steele - A Kidder County street fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday on East Broadway in Steele with vendors selling hand crafted items and food. The day will include rummage sales in Kidder County towns of Dawson, Robinson, Pettibone, Steele and Tappen.

LOGAN

Napoleon - The NBA customer appreciation early bird breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday at The Downtowner in Napoleon. There' be FFA and 4-H exhibits, kid's games in the park, cow pie bingo and free watermelon, too.

Logan County - The Logan County Commission wants landowners along farm-to-market county and township roads to mow roadways at least one mower width by July 15. The mowing will help prevent accidents involving wildlife and vehicles.

MCINTOSH

Ashley - A benefit for Scott and Ermalene Schlepp, of rural Ashley, owners of "The Hayloft" theater, has been established at the McIntosh County Bank, 204 Main St. W., Ashley, N.D., 58413. The Schlepps' home, in the same yard as their Hayloft theater, was destroyed by fire, June 26, the day the couple was preparing for an investors' banquet to be attended by Gov. John Hoeven.

Watford City - An appreciation dinner for McKenzie County emergency responders and their spouses will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Watford City Golf Course. An optional nine-hole golf scramble will start at 5 p.m.

MCLEAN

Turtle Lake - The 27th annual Turtle Days Celebration will be held Friday through Sunday at Turtle Lake. Events start a noon Friday with a barbecue cook-off and judging. A parade will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday and the turtle races start at 1 p.m., with preregistration at 10 a.m.. A street dance will end the day at 9 p.m. There's all-day softball Sunday and an exhibition basketball game at 2:30 p.m. in the high school gym.

MERCER

Pick City - Pick City, built at the time of Garrison Dam construction, will turn 60 with a celebration Saturday and Sunday. Events will begin with a parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, a flea market and bingo and there'll be a dance that night at 8:30 p.m. at the city park. A pancake breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday at city hall, followed by community worship.

Hazen - Sakakawea South Shore Community Theater will present "Fiddler on the Roof," at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Hazen High School theater. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Hebron - Plan ahead for Hebron's 33rd annual Watermelon Days July 18 - 20. A barbecue will be served at 4 p.m. July 18 and watermelon will be given away starting at 1 a.m. July 19 on Main Street, followed by turtle races. A canoe race will start at 3:30 p.m. on the Little Knife River by the Boy Scout cabin.

Dickinson - The annual summer field day will start at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dickinson Research Extension Center and include a full day of information and demonstrations on cover crops, horticulture, farmstead energy efficiency, and water analysis. A free community barbecue will be served at 5 p.m. and horse drawn wagon rides will be available during the early evening. Call 483-2348 for information.
