Bruce Brucker and Wanda Knoll's places on the Mandan Park Board were confirmed by recount Monday following last week's election, which was too close to call.
Knoll's victory was all but certain, as she led the field of candidates by at least 200 votes.
But Brucker and Kevin Kautzman, who vied for the remaining open seat, were only three votes apart. Brucker's 0.07 percent advantage was within the bounds requiring a recount.
"Knoll and Brucker are still the winners," said Paul Trauger, the Morton County auditor.
The recount totals were 1,105 to 1,102, still three votes apart.
These final results of the election were dependent on waiting until Monday for the remaining absentee ballots before there could be a recount.
Trauger said the results were confirmed through the city Tuesday evening.
Knoll and Brucker, both incumbents, rejoin the three other board members.
"It was a good race, I had a lot of good supporters, and it was a fun run," said Kautzman.
Kautzman thanked his supporters and said he planned to pursue other offices in the future.
Knoll said she's glad the week of waiting on the decision is over and that there is a benefit of working with the same people for the next two years again.
"I'm excited that the people believe I can answer their concerns and hopefully continue to make the right decisions," she said.
The Tribune tried to reach Brucker six times and left him messages on Tuesday.
