Bismarck police seized 8 pounds of marijuana while executing a search warrant at a mobile home Tuesday afternoon.

Officers arrested two residents of the mobile home following the search.

Rory Braunberger, 26, and Jennifer Schreiner, 22, were charged Wednesday with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a Class B felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, aClass A misdemeanor.

South Central District Judge Gail Hagerty set bond for Braunberger and Schreiner at $3,000 cash each.

Burleigh County Assistant State's Attorney Julie Lawyer said neither of the defendants has a criminal history beyond traffic citations.

Braunberger and Schreiner pleaded not guilty to the possession of drug paraphernalia charge. They will be asked to enter pleas to the felony charge at a later date.

Lt. Dan Donlin said narcotics investigators obtained a search warrant for a mobile home in the park at 1119 University Drive and executed the warrant at 2:23 p.m. Tuesday.

The investigators, who were assisted by patrol officers and members of the Metro Area Safe Trails Task Force, found three wrapped, 2-pound blocks of marijuana, a wrapped, 1-pound block of marijuana, and about a pound of marijuana in other forms, Donlin said.

The amount of marijuana found indicated a delivery operation rather than personal use, Donlin said.

The marijuana has an estimated street value of $8,000, he said.

He said officers also found multiple pipes, bongs and digital scales.

Donlin did not have information as to why investigators applied for a search warrant on the residence.
