Bowman - The Bowman Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its rodeo appreciation banquet, starting with a 6 p.m. social, followed by a 7 p.m. dinner Oct. 19 in Bowman. Anyone interested in N.D. Strasburg - The Strasburg Lions will raise money for the community swimming pool by conducting bingo Monday evenings at the Blue Room in Strasburg. The grill for hamburgers and appetizers will be open from 7 to 9 p.m.

Home on the Range - The Home on the Range, a residential treatment center for teens, will hold its first Western Hoedown and Casino Night starting at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Eagles Club in Dickinson. The night will start with poker, races, golf and games, followed by a barbecued pork dinner and music by fiddlin' Bill Johnson.

Garrison - Garrison Farmers Union Elevator hopes to expand its facilities to load out 100-car shuttle grain trains. To make room, the southern section of Garrison's Main Street will have to be abandoned. A public hearing on the abandonment will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Garrison City Hall.

Center - The Farm Service Agency in Oliver County at Center is among six targeted for closure in North Dakota as part of the government's plan to streamline its operations. There are 417 producers served by the office, and they would have to transfer their records to other offices. A public meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Center Civic Center to talk about the situation.
