Two sex offenders have registered new addresses in Bismarck.
Jerry Roger Schmidt, 34, a moderate-risk offender, was convicted in April of indecent exposure for exposing himself to a woman in a Bismarck store in December 2006. South Central District Judge Tom Schneider sentenced him to one year in prison with credit for 79 days already served.
A one-year sentence was the maximum that Schneider could impose for the Class A misdemeanor.
Schmidt formerly was living at the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's home for sex offenders with no where else to go, at 223 S. 14th Street. Schmidt now has registered an address of 501 Memorial Highway #7.
Donald Eugene Huffman, 51, pleaded guilty in March 2004 to gross sexual imposition in a case involving a girl younger than 15 in Hebron.
Huffman was recently released from the James River Correctional Center in Jamestown. He has moved into the DOCR's house at 223 S. 14th St.
The Bismarck Police Department said the men have served their imposed sentences and are not wanted by law enforcement.
