Mary Eaton of Towner has been chosen by the N.D. Horse Council to receive the 2008 N.D. Horse Person of the Year award.

Eaton is the owner of 7 E Riding Instruction and has been a riding instructor for more than 20 years. She teaches several disciplines of riding. She was nominated for the award by Sibley Gessner of Minot.

The N.D. Horse Person of the Year award will be presented during the 2008 N.D. Horse Council convention banquet on March 29 at the Radisson Hotel, Bismarck.

Other convention activities include seminars on various horse topics, roundtable discussion, exhibits and a member meeting. All convention activities are open to NDHC members and non-members. The deadline for registration is March 8.
