Take the plunge for RSVP on Jan. 23, and watch volunteers literally take a plunge into dunk tank.
RSVP is a program dedicated to providing volunteers to nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, hospitals, care centers and goverment-based programs. They place volunteers, 65 and older, where there is a need within these organizations.
"To help support program needs," project coordinator Mary Siverson said of the organization's mission.
The Penguin Plunge will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Jan. 23 in the Mandan Community Center, 901 Division St., Mandan. It will feature the dunk tank, along with penguin-themed games: penguin ice shuffle and bowling, "feed the penguin" games and pastry waddle.
Admission is free, but there is a fee for a round at the dunking tank. RSVP also will be collecting pledges.
RSVP is also looking for volunteers to be plunged. For more information, call 258-5436.
This is the second annual Penguin Plunge.
