The Bismarck City Commission has two new members.
Parrell Grossman and Mike Seminary were the top vote-getters from a seven-candidate field.
"I'm just very, very excited," Grossman said. "I've enjoyed serving on the school board and I look forward to serving on the city commission."
Grossman received 19.79 percent of the vote and Seminary received 23.06 percent of the vote. Grossman's term on the Bismarck School Board is up June 30.
It was an honor to win, Seminary, who works for Kadrmas, Lee and Jackson, said.
"I am excited and I am really honored that the city of Bismarck gave me this responsibility," Seminary said.
He wants to continue what the current commission has started, he said.
Grossman, who works for the attorney general, looks forward to working on issues of public safety, and finding ways for the city to work with other public entities.
The other candidates were Vinod Seth, Jon Hunke, Keith Holzer, Cheryl Fenster and Kurt Schmidt.
