Men charged for sex offenses

Authorities have charged three area men in unrelated sexual offenses during the past week.

n Christopher Owens, 25, of Bismarck, was charged Friday with Class Afelony gross sexual imposition. Owens has been accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old child from May 16 to June 9, according to a complaint from Bismarck Police Det. Mark Gaddis. Owens was arrested on Thursday.

South Central District Judge Donald Jorgensen set bond for Owens at $50,000 cash on Friday at the Burleigh County Courthouse. Jorgensen also prohibited Owens from having contact with the victim, or being around or supervising anyone younger than 18.

n Mitchell Gross, 48, of Bismarck, was charged Thursday with Class A felony gross sexual imposition. Gross has been accused of having sexual contact with a 21-year-old woman "when she was unaware that the sexual act was being committed," a complaint signed by Gaddis said.

Jorgensen set bond for Gross at $2,500 cash or surety, which has been posted.

n Stuart Hauge, 19, of Mandan, was charged Tuesday with two counts of Class A felony gross sexual imposition and one count of Class Amisdemeanor delivery of alcohol to a minor. He is accused of having sexual contact with a teenage girl who is younger than 15, Mandan Police Lt. Chris Miller said.

South Central District Judge Gail Hagerty set bond for Hauge at $25,000 cash.
