The Mountrail County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in locating an endangered runaway child.
Abi Mikkole Livingston, 14, walked away from her father's home in Palermo on Feb. 18 and was picked up by an unknown vehicle, according to a news release from Mountrail County Sheriff Ken Halvorson.
Livingston was "not abducted but has left the area,"Halvorson said in a phone interview.
The sheriff's department believes Livingston may have traveled to her mother's or sister's residences in Fargo, the release said.
Livingston is white, weighs 115 pounds and is 5-feet-1-inch tall. She has brown eyes and shoulder-length brown hair with red streaks. She had cuts on her arms, and the initials "EJ" were carved into her upper arm.
Livingston was last seen wearing a white tank top, a red "Red Lodge" sweatshirt, black pin-striped pants and white "DZ" shoes.
Halvorson said authorities are concerned about Livingston's safety. Anyone with information about her whereabouts should contact the Mountrail County Sheriff's Department at 701-628-2975, or call a local law enforcement agency.
