Underwood - Results of a youth and community survey will be discussed at a public meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Underwood City Hall. The surveys included information on shopping patterns and community development preferences. North Dakota State University's business and economics' department conducted the survey.

Glen Ullin - The Glen Ullin civic group will host its third annual German supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Parish Hall in Glen Ullin. The menu will be pigs in the blanket, cheese buttons, knoephle and kraut, borscht, fruit strudel and more. Hebron - Hebron will host the 20th annual Morton County Band Festival at 7 p.m. Friday at the Hebron school featuring bands from Hebron, Flasher, New Salem and Glen Ullin. Steve Werpy of Dickinson State University will be guest conductor.

New Town - A benefit account has been set up at Lakeside State Bank in New Town for Shadd Fredericks, who broke his neck bull riding and has incurred extensive medical costs. He is being transferred to Craig Hospital in Colorado.

Center - A "last chance" Class B speech meet will begin at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Center High School and the public is invited to view the competition among as many as 150 students from neighboring schools participating in 14 different speech events. This is the final opportunity for students to qualify for upcoming regional speech competition.

McClusky - A public hearing on a proposed wetland mitigation site in Sheridan County will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. April 10, at the McClusky City Hall Community Room. The State Department of Transportation proposes to use the site to offset wetland impact from road projects. Anyone who wants information can call Sheri Lares at 328-4156. Fort Yates - The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe will hold a paleontology field school this summer and participants will learn field methods to find, document, excavate, jacket and transport dinosaur fossils. Harvey - Spring wellness days will be held from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 7 and April 9 at the St. Aloysius Medical Center presentation center in Harvey. For $30, participants will get a continental breakfast, blood pressure check and a panel of 18 blood tests, including cholesterol and anemia. Plan to fast for 12 hours before taking the tests.
