Medina Fall Festival starts Friday

The Medina Lions Club is sponsoring the Medina Fall Festival Friday through Sunday with performances, a parade, food, exhibits, games and more.

Local talent and the group, "Cheaper than Therapy," will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at City Hall. Admission is with a Fall Festival button available at local businesses.

A parade begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday and will be followed by a beef feed. Local exhibits will be on display at the Legion Hall along with rolls, pie and coffee, and a bake sale, sponsored by the United Methodist Church. Activities in the park include the Messy Bessy Contest and kids' games, sponsored by the FFA. A tractor and truck pull starts at 2 p.m. south of the school. Bingo, sponsored by the Legion Auxiliary, will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Legion Hall. A street dance is planned for the evening; "Blackwell"will perform and burgers will be served by Close Up.

At 10:30 a.m. Sunday a ecumenical service will be held at the school. A homemade German dinner will be served afterward by Crystal Springs Faith Evangelical Mission at the Legion Hall. "Gospel in the Park" starts at 1 p.m.
