Beach - The Beach Volunteer Fire Department will hold its second annual hog feed and auction starting at noon Sunday at the South Side Fire Hall in Beach. A raffle drawing will be held at 1 p.m. and the auction afterward.

Elgin - A community blood drive sponsored by the Elgin Dakota Lions will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the Elgin Community Center. Anyone who wants to contribute blood should bring identification and a list of any medications taken in the last month.

Tappen - The Tappen United Methodist Church will hold its annual fall dinner and bake sale from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. The menu is roast pork, mashed potatoes, gravy and desserts. The meal costs $6 for adults and $4 for children.

Napoleon - Flu shots will be available from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Tuesdays and Wednesdays the remainder of the month at the Logan County Courthouse in Napoleon. The vaccination shot costs $26 for anyone not covered by Medicare.

Golden Valley - The Golden Valley Farmers Union will hold its annual meeting at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Pioneer Hall in Golden Valley. There will be free pizza, a dessert potluck, election of officers and bonco. Stanton - The Stanton Rural Fire Protection district and invited guests will have its annual fish fry at 6 tonight at the Stanton Civic Center. Participants are asked to bring a potluck dish to share.

Flasher - Flasher will hold a fall community clean up day from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Anyone who needs assistance with outdoor yard work chores like raking or rain gutter cleaning and volunteers willing to help them are asked to register at the city auditor's office at 597-3127 or by calling City Commissioner Kathy Stoddart at 597-3402. A pizza party will be held after the clean up at the city hall.
