A kayak and equipment, valued at almost $1,100, was taken from a residence in the 1100 block of South University Drive sometime between 4 and 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The owner, a 38-year-old Bismarck man, told police Friday that neighbors told him they saw someone in a white car strap it to the roof and take off, according to a Bismarck police report.

There are no suspects and the case is under investigation.
