The Three Affiliated Tribes will hold meetings for tribal members who live off the reservation and in nearby states to talk about oil and gas leasing and oil development.
The tribes' business council and its newly formed Energy Department will be at the Embassy Suites in downtown Minneapolis from 5 to 8:30 p.m. today.
They'll be at the Bismarck Kelly Inn from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and at the Grand Holiday Inn in Billings, Mont., from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Chairman Marcus Wells Jr. said the meetings are intended to keep tribal members who live off the reservation informed about the progress of oil development on the reservation and hear their input.
These meetings follow a series of meetings in reservation communities held last month.
