United Blood Services, 517 S. Seventh St., has new hours for 2009. The new hours, effective Monday are as follows:

n Monday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

n Tuesday-Thursday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

n Friday: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

n Saturday: 7 to 11 a.m.

United Blood Services wanted to make it more convenient for donors to come in by extending the hours of operation.

Volunteer blood donors must be 16 years old or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. To schedule an appointment, call 258-4512 or go to www.unitedbloodservices.org.
