A Beulah man faces multiple charges after allegedly knocking a woman unconscious, groping women and trying to goad people into fighting him at a Glen Ullin bar over the weekend.
Tyler Whitecalfe, 25, was charged Monday with aggravated assault, a Class Cfelony, sexual assault, a Class B misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a Class Bmisdemeanor.
South Central District Judge Bruce Haskell set bond for Whitecalfe at $1,500 cash Monday at the Morton County Courthouse. The bond has been posted.
Haskell prohibited Whitecalfe from having contact with the alleged victims. Haskell also ordered Whitecalfe to remain in Burleigh or Morton counties.
Court documents list two addresses for Whitecalfe:one in Beulah and one in Bismarck.
Morton County Sheriff Dave Shipman said deputies were dispatched to a bar in Glen Ullin late Saturday night for a fight.
Witnesses said Whitecalfe was intoxicated and looking for a fight in Scooter's Bar, an affidavit from Morton County Deputy Mark Wallevand said.
Shipman said witnesses told deputies that Whitecalfe groped a 25-year-old Bismarck woman and a 25-year-old Mandan woman. Another 25-year-old woman working at the bar tried to escort Whitecalfe out of the building, and they got into an altercation, Shipman said.
Witnesses said a29-year-old Almont woman attempted to help the bar employee, and Whitecalfe kicked the Almont woman in the head, knocking her unconscious, Shipman said.
He said the Almont woman refused medical treatment at the scene.
Whitecalfe was arrested at the bar, Shipman said.
