The driver of a pickup that rolled and killed two passengers was charged Tuesday with two manslaughter felonies and for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Cody Bargmann, 23, of Center, was driving a pickup with young people in it March 22 when he lost control of his vehicle and rolled it on a country road northeast of Center.
Travis Hilfer of Mandan and Shawn R. Johnson of Hazen were both killed in the rollover.
Bargmann, along with three other passengers - Lee Scheid, 24, of Hazen, and Kayla Heilman, 16, and Ashley Heilman, 19, both of Center - were taken to the hospital for injuries.
None of the six were wearing seatbelts and all were ejected from the pickup, according to the State Highway Patrol, which investigated the fatality accident.
The manslaughter charges were filed in South Central District Court at Center by Oliver County State's Attorney Mike Liffrig.
Manslaughter is a Class B felony and contributing to the delinquency of a minor is a Class A misdemeanor.
