A Bismarck man was found dead in his garage after apparently falling while trying to install an attic ladder, police said.

Blaine Erickson, 42, died in the accident, according to a death notice. He was found shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Saturday by his wife; he was taken to a medical center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

He apparently fell through the Sheetrock in the garage ceiling to the garage floor, reports say. An autopsy has been ordered, although police do not believe there was any suspicious activity.
