Apparently, "Have it your way" only applies to food preparation - not to store hours. A Bismarck man faces burglary charges after being found in a Burger King parking lot wearing attire stolen from the fast-food chain early Wednesday morning.

Chad Rummel, 26, was charged with Class C felony burglary on Wednesday.

South Central District Judge Sonna Anderson set bond for Rummel at $5,000 cash and prohibited him from being on the grounds of the Burger King located at 315 E. Sweet Ave.

Officers were called to the restaurant at 2:34 a.m. Wednesday, Sgt. Dwight Offerman said. He said a drive-through window at the business was open, and officers found Rummel wearing Burger King uniform apparel.

Offerman said Rummel had a Burger King ball cap, three Burger King jackets and a 12-pack of invisible tape in his possession when officers found him. All were items from inside the business, he said.

Rummel also faces a petition for revocation of probation in another case. He was convicted and sentenced on Oct. 2 for possession of stolen property, and he could be resentenced in that case if the allegations in the petition are proven.

Burleigh County Assistant State's Attorney Lloyd Suhr recommended the $5,000 cash bond based on the short period of time between Rummel's sentencing in the previous case and the allegations leading to the petition for revocation of probation. He said Rummel also faces sentencing in a federal case in November.
