The U.S. Social Security Administration reported Thursday that a Langdon man is charged with defrauding the program of $22,773.

Federal authorities say Terry Dean Goodrie improperly received payments as a representative payee on behalf of another person.

Goodrie was arrested Dec. 13 by the Cavalier County Sheriff's Department at a rural home north of Osnabrock. His case is pending in federal court in Fargo.
