United Blood Services is celebrating Donor Appreciation Day on Wednesday.

Donors on Wednesday will receive a gift and have the chance to sign up for prizes including tickets to local events. There will be free food.

"Blood donors are a very special group of people," said Stacey Majkrzak, spokesperson for United Blood Services-North Dakota.
