Liz Collin, a senior at Bismarck High School, has joined the Tribune newsroom as an intern.
She enjoys all forms of writing, including prose, poetry and informative essays. She has written columns for her high school newspaper, The Hi-Herald, and is actively involved in the design and content of her school's upcoming literary magazine, PenSoul.
She recently won top honors at the Letters About Literature Contest sponsored by the North Dakota Center for the Book and won Honorable Mention in a Parade magazine poetry contest in 2006.
She plays guitar and is an avid fan of blues music, as well as an avid attender of various concerts around the region.
