The visitor centers at Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25 and Jan. 1. Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site will be closed in its entirety on those days.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park will still be open on the holidays and primitive camping is available. The grounds at Knife River Indians Villages also will be open on the holidays.

The three national park units in North Dakota are open and serve visitors year-round. The visitor centers are usually closed on three days per year Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. This year, Dec. 24 also has been designated as a federal holiday.
