Tree trimming on Washington
Trimming of trees along the four-block stretch of Washington Street from Rosser to Avenue D will be taking place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to April 6.
Because this portion of Washington is a narrow two-lane section and Advance Tree Service will be using a lift truck along the boulevard, motorists should be aware there will be delays due to restricted traffic flow.
Jeff Heintz, services operation director, says the work is part of the city's contract for tree trimming services with Advanced Tree Service. Heintz wants to get the work completed prior to reconstruction of Washington Street.
Stan Churchill, owner-operator of Advanced Tree Service, says the street won't be closed to traffic, but there will be lane closures because of the work. Heintz asks that drivers plan their trips accordingly.
