This area's six Clear Channel Communications radio stations were sold in an estimated $460 million package deal that included about 180 other company stations, local station management said.

Bob Denver, market manager of the Clear Channel Stations in Bismarck, said they received the news on Tuesday.

A total of 185 stations were sold, pending FCCapproval, to newly formed GoodRadio.TV LLC, headed by Dean Goodman, former president and chief operating officer of ION Media Networks Inc., Denver said.

Goodman would not comment on the sale price or plans for the radio stations.

"The only thing I can do at this point is confirm that it, in fact, occurred,"Goodman told the Tribune on Friday.

Clear Channel released news this week that it has agreements to sell 362 radio stations across the nation, at an estimated $820 million. In November, the company announced plans to sell more than 400 stations to optimize its media portfolio.

Plans for the radio stations may be released after the FCCapproval of the transaction, Denver said.

He added that he was not concerned about the future of the six stations.

"We've been through it before,"he said. "We knew this was coming. We knew we were going to be sold."
