State regulators will be reviewing a proposed new oil pipeline in southwestern North Dakota.
A company wants to build a 6-inch crude oil pipeline for 33 miles from Killdeer in Dunn County to just north of Dickinson. It would carry about 10,000 barrels of crude oil daily. Plains All American Pipeline LP wants to build the line early next year.
North Dakota's Public Service Commission has an application for the project. The commission will be scheduling a hearing later on the proposed route.
Commissioner Tony Clark says the pipeline would give oil producers better access to crude markets to the south.
Right now the Dunn County area's production goes mostly to the Tesoro oil refinery near Mandan.
