Folks will be "Goin' Wild in Wilton"on June 14 to raise funds for new playground equipment for the city park.

The fundraiser, sponsored by the Wilton Park Board, will include a walk/run, a three-on-three basketball tournament, softball tournament, dance, a dunking booth, inflatable games and concessions throughout the day.

Registration for the 5K Fun Run and Walk and 1-mile kids' run (for kids 12 and under) is from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m. at the Wilton football field. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. A two-hour time limit will be enforced. Participants still on the course after 10:30 a.m. will not be counted. The cost is $15; $5 for the kids' fun run. Preregistrations must be postmarked by May 23. Checks should be made to Julie Hruby and mailed to Jen Heilman, 28001 Highway 83, WiltonND 58579. T-shirts are guaranteed only to those who are preregistered.

The three-on-three basketball tournament also starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Wilton school gym; registration begins at 8 a.m. A softball tournament starts at the softball field at 10 a.m.

A petting zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Inflatable games will be set up for kids from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Concessions are available from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and a beer garden will be open from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. The band, Backstage Pass, will perform from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. All events are at the football field.

Afternoon tickets are $5. Dance tickets are $5 for those 12 and under, and $10 for those 13 and older.
