Police are investigating the discovery of several Molotov cocktails in a south Bismarck neighborhood.
Lt. Randy Ziegler said someone called police at 5:35 p.m. Sunday after finding what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail in the street.
A Molotov cocktail is a glass bottle, filled with accelerant, with a rag or cloth as a wick. The explosive devices are often ignited and thrown as grenades.
Ziegler said one burned can of insect repellent, one burned can of lighter fluid, one burned glass bottle with a paper wick and four burn marks on concrete were spotted in the neighborhood.
Officers canvassed the neighborhood, but no one reported seeing anything suspicious, Ziegler said.
