Police have spoken to a woman reported missing from Bismarck.
Kimberly Cooklin, 26, called Bismarck Police Sgt. Bill Connor, who was investigating her disappearance, on Tuesday, Lt. Randy Ziegler said Wednesday.
He said Cooklin gave information about herself to confirm her identity and told Connor she was OK and did not wish to be contacted further. Police now consider the case closed.
Cooklin was last seen on Nov. 5. She was reported missing on Friday when she did not show up for work at the Bismarck Tribune.
Police believed she might be with Jerry R. Schmidt, who is wanted for alleged probation violations out of McKenzie County. Ziegler said Cooklin told Connor she is in a different state than Schmidt.
