Police placed two Bismarck teens at the Youth Correctional Center after another teen reported being assaulted with a chain.

A 16-year-old boy was cited with aggravated assault and a 14-year-old boy was cited with disorderly conduct on Sunday night, Lt. Randy Ziegler said.

He said a boy and his mother reported the alleged assault, which occurred in southwest Bismarck between 9 and 9:30 p.m.Sunday. Ziegler did not know the extent of injuries caused by the assault.

The two boys were arrested and placed in YCC at the direction of the Police Youth Bureau, Ziegler said. He said the guardian of the 14-year-old also was arrested on a warrant. The 16-year-old also had been staying with the woman, though she was not his legal guardian.

Denise Goodbird, 36, was arrested on the warrant out of McLean County.
