The U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Mint Public Affairs Manager Guillermo Hernandez, local Lewis and Clark historians and Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., will announce upcoming events surrounding the bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark expedition on Thursday.
The event will include an unveiling of the Postal Service's three Lewis and Clark stamps, scheduled to be released in the summer of 2004, as well as a North Dakota unveiling of the upcoming Lewis and Clark nickel.
The 9 a.m. event will involve faculty and students of Wachter Middle School, 1107 South Seventh St., but is not open to the general public.
