Eureka: Euphoria.
A unique boutique has filled a hole in downtown Bismarck.
The retail arm of Linae Enockson's Dacohtah Woolen Mills, which opened last year in Hazelton, has moved to the Capital City. Euphoria opened Thursday in the Cowan Building, on Broadway Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets.
The shop offers clothing, accessories and yarns that have been dyed and spun by Enockson and her employees in Hazelton. Enockson was out shearing sheep at a farm near Tappen on Thursday, but she left the store's opening in the capable hands of its new manager, De Bergeson.
"This gives more exposure to what is becoming a larger and larger business,"Bergeson said. "Downtown, to us, is a great fit. It can be very, very good here."
Angie Benz, who works as the liaison between the Hazelton mill and the Bismarck store, said the move was a logical one.
"Most of the business we did in Hazelton came to us from Bismarck," Benz said. "We catered to a lot of people from here, so it made sense to move."
A ribbon-cutting will be held at the store Tuesday, but customers are welcome to stop in now to check out the hand-painted silk scarves, dresses and Hazelton-created yarns. Employees will begin to offer classes on knitting, spinning and felting in the near future.
Enockson's creation's also will be online soon, at www.fivesistersdrygoods.com.
