MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of an 18-year-old whose body was found in her apartment bedroom.

Officers found the teenager dead shortly after 5 p.m. Monday, in her northwest Minot apartment, after getting a report of a possible death, a statement from Detective Bob Barnard said Tuesday.

The victim's name was not immediately released.

The police statement said the death is being investigated as a homicide "due to the evidence" at the scene. Details were not immediately released.
